This policy explains what books.stevehodgkiss.net collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Order data: your email address and the book purchased, kept to deliver your download link and support your order.
Payment identifiers: card payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record; we store only the order reference needed to verify payment and honour refunds. We never see or store your card details. YEMPay payments carry only your YEM address and transaction reference.
Mailing list: if you sign up on the homepage, your email address — used only for new-book announcements. Unsubscribe any time via the link in every email.
Technical data: IP address and standard server logs, used for security and kept briefly.

Why we collect it

To deliver what you paid for, to verify payments, to send the mailing list you asked for, and to keep the site safe. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time. Email sales@stevehodgkiss.net and we will respond within 30 days. Records of transactions may be retained where required by tax law.

Where your data lives

The site runs on Vercel. Polar processes payments under its own privacy policy.
