Refunds

We want you to get what you pay for. This policy explains when refunds apply and how the 14-day cooling-off period works for digital book purchases.

14-day cooling-off period

Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital purchase for a full refund. For digital content there is an exception: if you ask us to start delivery during those 14 days and we do, the refund can be reduced by the value of what was already delivered. To keep things simple and fair, we go further than the law requires:

Refund within 14 days of purchase: full refund of the £10 purchase price, no questions asked — even if you have already downloaded and read the book.

After 14 days

Purchases are final after 14 days. If the book is materially not as described, contact us — we will refund you in full regardless of the window.

Free editions

Every book has a free HTML edition you can read in full before buying. It is the same content, one move per page, so you know exactly what you are getting.

How to request

Email sales@stevehodgkiss.net, or reply to any receipt email, quoting your payment reference. Card refunds are returned via Polar (our merchant of record) and typically processed within 7 days of approval; YEMPay refunds are sent to your YEM address.
